Wendy Pennington
Vice President of Finance
Mrs. Pennington joined Mayson Capital Partners, LLC (Mayson Capital) in 2016. Mayson Capital Partners (Mayson Capital) is a private investment firm based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mayson Capital’s core investments include convenience stores, hotels, and a commercial real estate portfolio. Other investments include a community bank, a general contracting business, restaurants, and a technology-driven self-storage business. Mayson Capital also allocates capital to venture investments with opportunities for disrupting industries and generating significant growth.
Mayson Capital leads investments with its own capital. Additional funds are raised from a network of high net-worth individuals on a deal-by-deal basis. This approach allows flexibility with deal structures and tends to yield more patient capital while portfolio businesses carry out their business plans.
Prior to joining Mayson Capital, Mrs. Pennington was employed by a dry corn ingredient manufacturer and worldwide supplier to food and beverage companies. As its Financial Manager, Pennington provided strategic direction and oversight for all accounting operations, cash flow planning, investment and asset management. She was previously the Director of Finance for a regional Medical Center that supports 25 different healthcare disciplines through its hospital, walk-in clinics, and outpatient rehab facilities. Pennington’s accounting and financial portfolio has been further diversified through high level roles held in multiple manufacturing and retail industries.
Mrs. Pennington earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is currently the Treasurer for the Village of Kelso, Missouri where she has also served as a Board Member and Secretary.
Wendy resides in Kelso with her husband, Craig, and their daughter, Lily. She and Craig express great pride in Lily through active involvement in her school activities and hobbies including local theatre productions.
